So, I went ahead and found this site by mistake - and decided to give it a chance -

Shaikh Hamza is talking about the pope or something
Some Background Information
I Can not stand it when it takes more then 4 or 5 seconds to get to a point- and I hate exahherates metaphors, etc. - basically if i can grasp something in a few seconds, I do not want minutes of my time taken to explain it - needless to say, I have never been able to listen to most lectures - so…
I started listening to it, after about 2 or 3 minutes of hearing about constpation, litigation, emancapation - thats all I can stomach - I am sure he goes on to eventually explain that the Pope is a bad guy and all - but yea, if being Sufi means I have to listen lectures like this - its just not going to happen -

Obviously any scholar would say ‘be active’, and help, and speak out about it
But, no sir - before we can help others, we must help ourselves.
We must make sure we do not fall into any disease of the heart while we help others as well
Lets all work on our soul, and then magically turkey will say women can wear Hijab again.
Got to love the Ummah.
I just read your explanation of why you use labels to generalize. It makes things easier, yes, but it is nevertheless inaccurate to lump everyone in the “sufi†category. Stereotyping usually leads to great misunderstandings. Whatever.
Your blog is interesting. I pray Allah continues to open your mind and increase you in beneficial knowledge and understanding.
While it is true when you say, that “Stereotyping usually leads to great misunderstandings.”
I have noticed that the majority of Salafis and Sufis are happy being misunderstood and do not mind that it is thought that they are not into Jihad, I have not deteremined if that is true about the Sufi Scholars yet, I have very little contact with them right now, but Salafi Daees/Scholars (and so far Sufis to) only raise an eyebrow about certain things.
If one believes that they do not care about Jihad, or one pushes this view - no one really cares about it, its like a Silent ijmaa - no one gets offended that they were stereotyped
So it actually leads to no misunderstandings, just because there are a handful of Salafi Scholars that believe in Jihad (besides a theoretical one) and a handful of Sufi Scholars (have not determine realy yet) - in reality - its not a misunderstanding to believe they do not place ANY Importance on jihaad
For Salafis, it is knowledge, For Sufis it is tasawwuf -
And if you were to to state to the majortity of them (even those who believe in it) that the answer is one of those two things - they are more then happy to be ascribed with that.
No one has a problem, but a handful of Salafis and/or Sufis who may personally feel like they care, and because of a good opinion they have about their scholars and callers - they believe the same care exists within those callers and scholars - so they get upset when you categorize them - while they secretly wish the callers and schoalrs they respect share the same cares and concerns -
So no one really objects to this except maybe some of the Deobandi Inclined Sufis (or those who care on their own), or the Salafi Jihadis
Its much like categorizing Americans as Into Democracy, sure not everyone may be - but no one really objects to a stereotype like that -

Firstly, - thanks to all of the people who advised me not to watch Apple Pie - I think you missed the point of the story - the part that was funny was that my Father asked me if I wanted to watch it (My Dad reads my blog, or my mom reads this to, so it’s the funny part) - You don’t really expect your parents to ask that of you:
But here is the backround
I found it funny, because my parents in the past have given me a lot of heat about ’sex’ (while growing up) - and embarrassing situations with my dad in particular - so it was amusing to me.
But thanks for all of the concern, I did dicline the invitation to watch it.
The Important Part
When testing the DVD Player, it came on for a moment, and I heard one of my favorite childhood songs - so that is what prompted me to write any of this
Good Song, Great Song - that’s all
And here are the lyrics (note, I do not care all to much for the lyrics, I just like the tune, and the voice it is sung in) - and the bold part in particular is the part I like.
You wanted More (tonic)
Love is tragic
Love is bold
You will always do what you are told
Love is hard
Love is strong
You will never say that you were wrong
I dont know when I got bitter
Love is sure better when it’s gone
Because you wanted more
More than I could give
More than I could handle
And a life that I can’t live
You wanted more
More than I could bare
More than I could offer
And a love that isn’t there
Love is color
Love is love
Love is never saying you’re too proud
Love is trusting
Love is honest
Love is not a hand that holds you down
I dont know when I got bitter
Love is surely better when it’s gone
Because you wanted more
More than I could handle
And a life that I can’t live
You wanted more
More than I could bare
More than I could offer
And a love that isn’t there
I gotta pick me up when I am down
I gotta get my feet back on the ground
I gotta pick me up when I am down
[Solo]
I don’t know when I got bitter
Love is surely better when it’s gone
Because you wanted more
More than I could handle
And a life that I can’t live
You wanted more
More than I could bare
More than I could offer
And love that isn’t there
You wanted more
More than I could bare
More than I could offer
Because you wanted more
More than I could give
More than I could handle
And a life that I can’t live
Firstly, let me say I have respect for the Soofies, and I have respect for the Salafis
And by this I mean those of them that know how to function within a society and do things that help others in need -
So by that token, Most Soofies and Most Salafis are not people I respect, but I respect their approaches to Islam -
I asked a simple question, I asked if the fard of defense takes precedence over the Fard of Hajj -
Its a yes, or no question -
I was told:
The Cure for Terrorism isTasawwuf
And you can see the question/answer yourself:
http://www.sunniforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12808
Read from post #230 onwards.
So if I ask a question about Jihad, it automatically means two things:
1. It seems in their hearts, they to believe the only jihad that is going on is being done by terrorists - otherwise why else bring that into the picture.
2. And that it is haraam -
Firstly my words are interpreted to mean Terrorism, and then I am shown to cure Terrorism I must to Tasawwuf, Excuse me while I ‘LOL’
There is a great lesson in this, it means that this person amongst others I am sure automatically believe that:
1. when a Muslim cares about Jihad it has to do with terrorism
2. It also means that in their hearts, they believe the only jihad that is being done is being done by terrorists, because immediately when you ask about Jihad - terrorism is mentioned
3. They do not know or have anything or even care about the Fiqh of Jihad -, they just don’t want anyone to do it, so instead of saying, we do not want anyone to do jihad - they say, terrorism is haram.
Why? Because if you ask a question about jihad, you assume terrorist - it shows what you really feel about the situation, and only further reinforces that though Sufis and Salafis at one point in their life may have done jihad - the only jihad they are now making is a jihad of tasawwuf and knowledge - that’s fine - But they are definitely not following the Salaf =)
As if the entire ummah did not already know that Terrorism is haram (woop di do) - so what exactly is the Halal Jihad? Knowledge and Tasawwuf? No, obviously not - but no one really knows do they, nor do they really care.
And these are the ’scholars’ and ‘individuals’ and ‘callers’ we are told to respect - I probably have more respect for the Jews then I do for these people - but it’s fine, I’ll make jihad al nafs and find a way in my heart to like my fellow brothers/sisters/scholars - then I can defeat ‘terrorism’

Gosh, this is going to be really bad - firstly, after listening to lectures of Shaikh Nu Ha Mim Keller, he has effected me in at least one way - more so than most speakers -
But before joining a Tariqh, or one of the first things to do when signing up for a Tariqh - you must take care of all the people you have ‘ripped off’ money wise, backbitten, etc. and well - this is rather scary, I can not think of one person I Have not backbitten - and I know almost all of my statements I made about them by heart! Not one single friend or family member or scholar, living or dead has been free from my tounge
That’s crazy - I don’t know how I did that, so I am going to be e-mailing every single person whom I know the e-mail address to and trying to get in touch with everyone else as well - but this is going to be a crazy task - it’s amazing, just simply because I can get away with it, I just keep going and going…
This list will be in no particular order:
I do not know if therre e are more - but if you know someone I have backbitten in your presence, please let me know! (it’s important, even if they are dead) - anyone i went beyond what is acceptable for, please let me know - e-mail me at sasjamal@islamicnetwork.com and let me know, and that way I can contact them and ask them to forgive me in shaa Allaah

For ages, I have had my gmail account totally full, and I have been unable to delete all of the e-mails as I Have thousands of e-mails which are important.
My current e-mail set up.
My primary e-mail accounts are two e-mail accounts (and not my gmail, so if anyone e-mails me directly there, there is a chance it will not matter)
Those two e-mail accounts forward to my gmail account
My gmail account forwards a copy to my mobile phone
So My outlook gets access to both work accounts
My gmail enables me to work remotely when not on my laptop
And my cell phone gets a copy of all.
Well for a while, I have not been unable to use my gmail since its always full -
Well now I am downloading all of my gmail using POP3, and I can finally delete all of the gmail email and now I can go on…
To My Wonderful Wife
Fatima Hye
How do I begin to tell you how lucky I am
to have you in my life?
I’ll start by saying what a gift you gave me
the day you became my wife.
You’re my best friend in the good times
and my rock in times of sorrow.
You’re the reason for sweet yesterdays
and my promise for tomorrow.
I never thought I could feel this loved
until you became my wife.
You made this year and every year
the best one of my life.
Love always,
Sas
In Ohio
I am in Ohio, I have been here for about a week (maybe more? Maybe less) – and I miss my wife a lot – I still can’t believe I have become one of ‘those guys’ (the ones that miss their wife when they travel) – I met only a few people, Mr. Wood (http://abuuthamn.muslimpad.com), and Abu Hurayrah (http://www.basilgohar.com/blog/), and the infamous Abu Muhammad who I came with.
I came here primarily to hook up with my friend Ameer, one of the first persons to work with me on Islamic Network (he had moved into my house for almost 9 months) – now, I am moving in to his apartment for 2 weeks in Cleveland while we start a new company together – (if it works, full time Islamic Scholarship here I come!, if not, half time Islamic scholarship here I come!). –
However, before leaving I do hope to meet Abul Layth (he is a few hours away, and the other Mr. Wood – plan is Abul Layth will come down thanksgiving –
The other big reason for being there was to visit my parents since I’ll be leaving for Jordan =)
I am slowly finding out among my friends and family, I was the only ‘Salafi’ ‘Salafi’ Meaning, that I considered Sufis heretics and Asharees heretics for no other reason then well that is what the official Salafi Line was – and all my friends are pretty open to this stuff anyway – (and yes, these guys have better things to do then care about these things anyway ):

So many of my friends became soofie its not even funny! I am pissed as hell that no one told me but to be fair, no one ‘stays’ in touch with me, as I do not ‘stay’ in touch with anyone either – but I am glad to see its not just me and Abul Layth

One More Big Name Salafi who became Soofie Recently:
Abu Aaaliyah:
http://web.mac.com/jawziyyah/iWeb/The%20Jawziyyah%20Institute/Home.html
Honestly, I can not hide my hatred for Salafis as a Salafi – I used to hate them for distorting the words of Ibn Taymiyah and the other scholars in order to justify their pathetic existence – which led me from one group of Salafis to another and then finally out of Salafiyah altogether -
But that same hated I have right now is being focused at the Soofies – yes, I have go go to go back to the basics and learn everything from the beginning – but if people like Nu Shaikh Ha Mim keller sincerely believe the prayers of everyone who has wiped over regular cotton socks has to be made up, him and his allies have done a pathetic job of conveying that – at least Salafis were all over the place with their dawah calling people whatever names – but we called people to what we believed in – soofies are pansies and pussies in general – I can’t imagine a soofie that came up to me in seven years and called me to the Traditional Way – if they did, they were sitting there in the back of the masjid with a silly look of inner peace, glasses and a intellectual gloss as if they do not need to mingle with the rest of the world – while they sit around gushing over ‘Shaikh Hamza’ like they are on his jock - I hate them for believing my prayers were invalid and never telling me about it, they would have just sit back and let me go to hell had I not heard it myself -
Everyone is a arrogant bastard these days and believes the others are misguided and doomed for hell – well, damn you all to! I damn you all to Paradise! I hope every misguided soul that tastes hell fire complains to Allaah about the so called Sufis and Salafis who did not do their utmost to stop him from that destructive path -
American Pie
My parents bought one of those nice wide screen tv’s so my Dad asked me if I wanted to watch American Pie! I don’t know what’s going on! (My friends soofie, my dad asking me if I want to watch American Pie) – but needless to say, apparently he had seen it already so when we switched on the DVD player (to test the TV), it was on already, so I heard part of the song that was on. And I used to LOVE this song –
(Don’t care to much for the words, I just like the way its sung, yes I just like ‘gay’ songs :))
