Johnny take a walk
With your sister the moon
Let her pale light in
To fill up your room
You’ve been living underground
Eating from a can
You’ve been running away
From what you don’t understand…

I will be back in the states from the 15th to the 26th.

Feb 19

I never seem to have anything more to say, but i LOVE talking so let me try.

1. Saeed texts me and reminds me to pray at the mosque if I ever miss it like 10 times a day.
2. Adee comes over to check on us daily
3. Muhamd Diri is always calling and checking up and trying to help me find a job (since I met him, and without ever asking if I needed one)
4. Reporters are e-mailing me like crazy about Daniel
5. I will be back in the states in the middle of march
6.  I Have discovered (I think its spelled) Qaak - its short for cake, but it really means LARGE Falafal Sandwich - and its 45 cents in many places, but 35 cents in this one place which is only open for 2-3 hours after 5 o clock -
7. I have discovered Qar Fur - MAN, I just bought 20 bags of groceries (enough for 2 months for a family of 5, exclusing veggies and meat) for 68JD, and tons of that stuff is enough to last the year or year(s)
8. Jordanian Women still don’t really look that good yet
9. My friend screwed me over money (from the states, JORDANIAN! HA)
10. I ate a booger
11. I am helping an Arab Iraqi man come up with really weird sounding sentences  find an American wife by  messaging woman on the internet saying: ‘I am 18, can i talk to you on mic’ - he does this Full Time
12. We have a tutor who spends 8 hours a day with the kids! (for Arabic)
13. I was very sick, now Fatima is very sick, I was so perfect, I made (maggie) soup countless times
14. I will HAVE to get DSL at home for at least a few months, its to hard to manage work emergencies without steady NET
15. I plan on FINALLY meeting Mr. Keller in shaa Allaah - now that the kids etc. are taken care of - I just have to sort out some deadlines for work, but since I dont have net at home, its proving to be annoying
16. I LOVE Jordan
17. I will finally begin becoming rich soon and Islamic Network FINALLY
18. All of my friends who are single and want to make hijrah are welcome to come over whenever they want - you can find jobs here, its not impossible, and you can stay withme as long as you want (so that makes it wajib on a ton of you guys out there)
19. Families are welcome as well, but I just don’t believe you’ll ever come so HA.
20. Being a sufi is hard considering, I can’t seem to FIND any Sufis besides the kharabsha clan
21. I found BOTTLED drinks (that means they ARE CHEAPER, u just have to return the glasses)
22. Jordanians are in shock at how much money I  can save (I am more froogle then most of the ones I meet), and my wife is aghast at how froogle i CAN NOT BE (shes more froogle then me)
23. The kids school is AWESOME mac daddy, will post pictures soon

Uh, I don’t know what else to say!

Oh yea, anyone who has ever come to my blog and never posted a comment, I HATE YOU!

One friend died, two friends in jail, (probably for a long time) - I am VERY VERY sick, but I had to crawl my way to the cafe ANYWAY -

Well, I guess its to disheartening of a time to talk or say anything - AND I have to do some work :(

I ended up writing more of a blog entry instead of a forum post, but I will link to it:

Click to read: http://talk.islamicnetwork.com/showthread.php?p=115062#post115062

Also, some other cool things:

For 20 Qirsh - I can get Meat Pies, I can get Zaatar Pies, I can get Spinach Pies (my favorite) and I can get Cheese Pies and Cheese/Egg Pies, for 50 Qirsh - I can get a shawarma sandwich

Nice stuff man -

And besides all of that, as I walk around Jordan I can’t get a few songs out of my head, Bad by U2, and Can’t Help Falling in Love with You By U2 - I like this TO much:

Wise men say only fools rush in
but I can’t help falling in love with you
Shall I stay
would it be a sin
If I can’t help falling in love with you

Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
some things are meant to be
take my hand, take my whole life too
for I can’t help falling in love with you

Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
some things are meant to be
take my hand, take my whole life too
for I can’t help falling in love with you
for I can’t help falling in love with you

This may be one of the best/greatest songs of All time forever and ever. (until ever is gone). If any of you secretly listen to music (even though you should not be)  find a way to find this song and listen to it (I am sure its on youtube or something).

I was visiting a family friend (Abu Idrees), the father of Shaikh Idris (who teaches Ibrahim Qur’an) who was sick, and I got a call from my wife to my friends cell (I don’t have one), and I had to leave for a work emergency.

A Linux Server crashed, and I had to walk the CTO through manually fixing the hard drive errors over MSN

But besides that, we discovered the first Shawarma sandwich we ACTUALLY like here in Amman -

I have a lot more to say, but I REALLY hate typing so much, but basically, Ill say more later - a lot lot more! But, its still very fun mixing and matching with all of these different groups, I even had dinner with Jamat At Tabligh! (May have mentioned that earlier)

Well with this ‘niceness’ thing I usually get along better with irreligous people in the states, and I get on with Salafis more then I do with anyone else here in Jordan -

Jordan is turning out to be interesting, I have some SJ friends, some (many) Salafi/Shaikh Ali Hassan Al Halabi Friends, and some Sufi friends -

One thing is pretty clear - everyone whether religon, salafi, or NOT religious - thinks sufis are crazy - Just some food for thought - I just enjoy ‘talking the talk’ with all 3 groups!

All the kids have Qur’an teachers now, now I just have to get one for Fatima - and BAHM! I get all the reward for all of them and I don’t have to do a THING! (in sha Allaah)

I like my dad, I don’t really get what he’s always trying to say in his e-mails (he sounds totally different in real life but in e-mail its a bit odd, but I LIKE! none the less):

E-mail to me:

i got your email. I saw the life in Jordan. They have bunch of Lemons & oranges trees all over the places. I saw the glipse of mosque. I saw the guy with a mug of coffee or tea. A kind of very simple life. No hush hush. I can imagine how much it is peacefull. Its quite a different life.Besides you guys i like the most oranges trees.. I will show to ammi when I get a computer. I am seeing at my office. its almost 4:30, my time to go home. You people are pretty much the same, did,nt change at all. I am very happy that you got something to like in your life. Insha Allah we will be there in due time.

Good wishes to everyone.

Well wisher,

Daddy
