You know, its like I had a love affair with Jordan before ever coming here. Most of my favoritest people inthe world are Jordanian.
I just sent an e-mail to one of the few ’scholars’ whom I really like, but hes jordanian. But on his own, maybe out of all of the scholarly people - and without ‘friendship’ being the reason (they are not fun to befriend) he simply emailed me to see how I was doing, etc.

As-salamu alaykum akhi Sas,
Just checking with you, and how you’re doing. Are you back in the US?

And before this e-mail:

This is _—–. I hope you don’t mind contacting you after all this time. I just got back from a visit to Columbus Ohio and remembered the days I spent at your house. I was hoping to see you there but I was told that you even moved to Jordan.
I hope you’re doing well in Jordan. If there is anything I can make for you and your wife to make your stay in Jordan enjoyable please let me know.
hope to see you soon insha’Allah.

I know he needs nothing from me at all, and we are quite different, I have had huge 4 hour long rebuttal style conversations with him, and there is almost no ‘friendship’ between us,but other scholars, etc. I am much closer to or have more in common with - (and from other arab countries) just suck.
I do not mind at all, but its VERY easy to find faults with scholars, since well - they are the ‘inheritors of the prophets and all’ i expect a LOT from them, so considering hes cool enough to actually be nice and just stay in touch, speaks volumes from him. He’s JORDANIAN.
Abul Layths friend yesterday that I met happens to be one of the nicest people I have met in a long time, hes Jordanian.
My best friend in the world, Abu Muhammad is jordanian.
One thing that they all have in common is they are super nice and go out of their way to make contact with you -
Muhammad dair, etc. all of these people are crazy like that.
Now granted I can not speak for everyone, but I know many more Pakistanis, many more indians, many more saudis, many more palestinians, and MANY more egyptians, and though one or two from them are like that (from my sample) - nearly EVERYONE i know who is jordanian has always been like the responses above., and they all have different opinions of me, and they all range from full blown scholars (mujtahid) to complete booze guzzling faasiqs - and they are ALL nice. Even jordanians i completey forgot about - who barely know me - when they visit jordan get my information from my mom and contact me or try to contact me.
One thing they all have in common is every jordanina I know has contacted me, they range from 17 years of age to 50+
So how come, whats so special about jordanians that they are so nice. (the ones I know).
Sas
